IWebkit a traditional iPhone web framework

iWebkit can be downloaded for free at http://iwebkit.net/.

You can access the demo area were you can see what iWebkit can do, the framework is very easy to use.

The framework uses css and html, which is very straight forward for anyone to use.

The framework also comes with icons which are very similar to the iPhone icons/buttons seen in the iPhone's apps.

iWebkit also has a beautiful form build into it which looks very cool, the form even includes the famous iPhone switch, the switch replaces the checkbox.

Framework expansion kits

I was surfing through the iWebkit website and I came across iCMS, iwiki, iBlog and iChat, these three can be downloaded on their website.

iCms and iBlog are very useful and open a lot of doors to a lot of website developers, if you want to see iBlog you will have to use your iPhone to see it.

The link to iBlog

You will find all of these frameworks on the download page of iwebkit.net

Back to iWebkit

I will add an article later covering these expansions, the iwebkit framework also includes three different themes.

What I really like about this framework is the ability to customize it as much as you like, this is mainly thanks to the fact that the framework is only made up of html and css.

This framework is very very simple, but the main disadvantage is you will have to customize it if you don't want to look like all the other iPhone websites, if you go the gallery on the website you will see some of the sites using this framework.

The community is very useful, if you have a question you can ask it in the forum or in the support area of the website.

I would love to see this framework using some sort of animation as the interface seems very un-flexible .

The navigation in the framework is very easy to use and very easy to use, again this proves how simple this frame work is to use.

Conclusion

The iWebkit framework is very simple and very easy to use, this html and css interface needs some sort of page transition.

The main disadvantage is probably that you will need to do a lot o customizing to stand out from the rest of the iWebkit users.

The framework is well looked after as well as that, the framework provides the option to use a blog, CMS or wiki, this framework is very flexible and it is free to use.

You will have an iPhone built in minutes using this framework.
